What does the US public record say about this company?

There is no US Companies House. The federal record is spread across agencies, and some of it goes further than the UK's: what a company told the SEC it raised, whether the FDA cleared its device or recalled it, whether it has been sued in federal court, and whether its name is on the sanctions list. Type a name, choose the company, and read it in one place.

An automated first look. Every source except the SEC record is matched by name, so read each result as "a company of this name" until you have opened the record. For a memo a partner can take into a meeting, see the investor view.

Optional: what does the deck say?

We compare each claim with the record. Nothing you enter here is stored.

The deck says…

Not legal or investment advice, and not a background check: it reads company records only and searches no individuals. Sources: SEC EDGAR, openFDA, CourtListener (Free Law Project), ClinicalTrials.gov and OFAC's Sanctions List Service. Records can lag the events they describe.
